Philip learnt his trade from his father, William Barton, who opened his shop back in 1947. Philip plied his trade working alongside his father as a boy once he had left Meols Cop School. For many years later Philip honed his skills as a supplier to restaurants and hotels.
In 2012 Gary Lewis joined the team at Bartons, bringing with him twenty two years experience in Butcher Shop management, having worked in the Churchtown area for quite some time. Philip decided that what better combination of skills could there be than Gary’s extensive shop management experience and Philip’s years of supplying restaurants. As a result Philip Barton Butchers was born, selling the finest quality food accompanied by the best knowledge of the product you can get. Quality is our name!
